A drop-in sign-up app for pickup nights that fill up

One sign-up link for a night that fills up: a cap, a waitlist, a waiver, and a fee paid by cash or e-transfer.

If you run a weekly pickup night, the group chat stops being a list. People say they might come, more people show up than the gym holds, and the first minutes at the door are spent sorting out who paid.

My League Portal gives that night one sign-up link. Players open it on their phone. A guest can join with a name and phone, with no account. They accept the waiver and take a spot. When the night is full, the next person joins the waitlist.

This is the main guide for drop-in sign-up. An older, shorter gym-night page now opens here so the two addresses do not compete.

What you can set up for each drop-in night

  • Repeating nights. A session can repeat weekly, every two weeks, or monthly. Each upcoming date counts as an active session. Basic allows 1 at a time, Pro allows 10, and Enterprise has no limit, so a long weekly series needs Pro or Enterprise.
  • A player cap. Set the maximum for the gym or court.
  • A waitlist. When the session fills, later players join the waitlist. If someone drops off, you move the next person onto the list from the check-in screen. That does not happen by itself. Players can leave the list until 30 minutes before start.
  • A waiver. Players read and accept your drop-in waiver on the sign-up page. On the same phone, that acceptance is remembered until you change the waiver. The league owner can download a signed-waiver log (a spreadsheet file) from Settings, under Waivers.
  • A fee. Set a per-night fee, players choose cash or e-transfer, and see who's paid at a glance (prepaid weeks supported). The showroom drop-ins are set up at $12 CAD.
  • Sign-up timing. Open sign-ups right away, keep them closed until you open them, open them a set number of days before, or open them at a date and time you pick. Close them a set number of minutes before start. The default close is 60 minutes before.
  • Check-in. Mark who walked in. On Pro and Enterprise, showing up and paying builds Gold, Silver, and Bronze tiers in your dashboard so you can see regulars. Fans do not see those scores on the public page.
  • Courts after check-in. Team Builder can split checked-in players across courts at random or by position. Friends who signed up together stay on the same side.

Drop-ins also show on the same public schedule as season games, so start time and location live in one place.

How it works

  1. Create a free account at sign-up and name your league or group.
  2. Turn on drop-ins from the dashboard and create a session: date, time, location, cap, fee, and waiver.
  3. Share the drop-in link in the group chat, on Instagram, or on a sign at the gym.
  4. Players sign up on their phones. Once the cap is hit, new sign-ups go on the waitlist.
  5. Check people in at the door and see who's paid.

Which plan do you need?

  • League Basic: free. Up to 50 players, 1 admin (the owner), 1 active season, and 1 active drop-in session. Digital waivers, a public registration page, and 30-day history are included.
  • Pro: $19.99 CAD/month. Up to 150 players, 3 admins (you plus 2 co-admins), 3 seasons, and 10 active drop-in sessions. It adds PDF waiver upload (you edit the text before saving), custom themes, a custom fan domain, and a branded stream overlay template. Pay for 6 months and save 20%, or 1 year and save 30%.
  • Enterprise: $99.99 CAD/month. Unlimited players, seasons, drop-ins, and admins, plus white-label branding, a league shop, custom stream overlays, and an AI assistant. Try it free for 30 days with no card.

There are no setup fees. You can pause a paid plan anytime from Settings when the season is off.

When My League Portal is not the right fit

  • You want a native app with push notifications. My League Portal runs in the phone's browser. There is nothing to install from an app store. If your group mainly needs team RSVPs with push alerts, BenchApp, TeamSnap, or Spond may suit you better.
  • You only need a headcount. If there is no cap, no fee, and no waiver, a group poll may be enough.
  • You need more than one active drop-in session on the free plan. Basic covers one at a time. More than that needs Pro.

FAQ

Is there a free drop-in sign-up option?

Yes. League Basic is free. It includes one active drop-in session at a time, digital waivers, and a public registration page for up to 50 players.

What happens when a drop-in night is full?

New players can join the waitlist. If someone drops off, you move the next waitlist player onto the list from the check-in screen. That move does not happen by itself.

Do players need to download an app?

No. They open your link in the phone browser. A guest can join with a name and phone and no account. There is no app-store app to install.

How do players pay the night fee?

Set a per-night fee, players choose cash or e-transfer, and see who's paid at a glance (prepaid weeks supported).

Can I run more than one drop-in night?

Basic allows 1 active drop-in session, Pro allows 10, and Enterprise has no limit. Each upcoming date in a repeating series counts toward that limit.
